If last month we were left with Shadow of the Tomb Raider and the previous Total War: Warhammer II, Feral Interactive is back with another release to say goodbye to the year: Life is Strange 2, the sequel to this successful graphic adventure whose first part they brought to Linux in 2018.
Developed by the French studio Dontnod Entertainment and distributed internationally by Square Enix, the Life is Strange 2 port for both Linux and Mac is the work -like the first part- of the British company Feral Interactive, whose contribution to the Linux game library is invaluable at this point in time.
Life is Strange 2 was originally released in September 2018 for Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One
But since it is never too late if the joy is good, and even if the criticism does not raise it to the level of its first part, everyone seems to agree that it is a great title…
We will probably include Life is Strange 2 in December’s Linux Play,
but if you’re interested in the game, its release has coincided with the start of the Steam winter sales and you can find it with a 75% discount (and the first part at 80%). These are its recommended minimum requirements:
- SO: Ubuntu 18.04 64-bit
- CPU: 3.4GHz Intel Core i3-4130
- RAM: 4 GB RAM
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 2GB or AMD Radeon R9 380 4GB
- Storage: 42 GB
And a few extra notes:

We leave you with the Life is Strange 2 launch trailer.
